Performance Measurement

Measuring educational performance is difficult. Often, key stakeholders do not agree on what success looks like or how it should be measured and tensions can arise. Reaching agreement is key to success.

Gura Founder Dr. Edmond Maher’s research was put to good use as a director at Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS), where he and the team:

• established agreed performance measures across a system of 150 schools
• created a system wide performance dashboard
• used the agreed measures to enhance strategic planning, strategy implementation and performance reporting

There is an art to distilling complex educational matters down to key components that people can understand and act upon.
